Post Women’s Hockey Drops Home Finale to Sacred Heart

Baumgartner makes 74 saves on the night

SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team was defeated by Sacred Heart 9-0 in its home finale on Friday night at the SportsCenter of Connecticut.
 
Freshman goaltender Jenna Baumgartner (Roseau, Minn.) stopped a season-best 74 shots in the loss. Freshmen Sierra Alarid (Cheyenne, Wyo.) and Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, British Columbia) led the Eagles with three shots each. Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) won 14 face-offs on the night.
 
Post rounds out the regular season tomorrow in a road game in Shelton against Sacred Heart. Puck drops at 4 p.m.
