SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team was defeated at home by Lebanon Valley 4-1 on Saturday night at the Rinks at Shelton. The Eagles and Dutchmen will play again tomorrow afternoon.
Freshman
Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, British Columbia) put the Eagles in front 1-0 with 5:42 to go in the first period.
Molly Brumfield (Columbus, Ohio) and
Olivia Dupree (Centerport, N.Y.) had helpers on the goal. Lebanon Valley tied the game with 1:44 left and the team headed into intermission tied 1-1.
Nicole Lloyd scored twice for the Dutchmen in the second and had an assist on another goal in the third as Lebanon Valley pulled away.
The Eagles had 30 shots on the day and outshot Lebanon Valley 14-11 in the third period. Freshman
Sierra Alarid (Cheyenne, Wyo.) had 11 shots to lead Post.

Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) won 16 face offs. Classmate
Jenna Baumgartner (Roseau, Minn.) made 35 saves in goal.
The teams are back in action tomorrow in Shelton. Puck drops at 3 p.m.
