WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's volleyball team defeated Dominican 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Wednesday night at the Drubner Center. The Eagles took the match by scores of 25-7, 25-12, and 25-9
A 13-3 run by the Eagles after dropping the first point of the match put them in front 13-4. An error by Post ended the run, but the Eagles ended the opening set with an 11-1 spurt capped by a kill from sophomore

The second set was close early on until a 9-2 run by the Eagles gave them control. With the score 23-12 in favor of Post, back-to-back points from juniors
Sarah Seger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) and
Madison Hunziker (Sacramento, Calif.) ended the set.
Post trailed 3-1 to start the third, but used a 13-2 stretch to pull away for good. Sophomore
Caitlyn Cornish (Torrington, Conn.) had four out of five kills during a 7-0 run to make the score 21-7. Junior
Nakajai Mills (Meriden, Conn.) capped off the frame with a kill to give Post the 25-9 victory.
Seger led the Eagles with 10 kills and Hunziker added eight. Senior
Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) had a game-high 11 digs. Junior
Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) added 29 assists and three aces. Nelson paced the Eagles with four total blocks.
Post returns home to close out the season on Saturday, Nov. 11 with two match. The Eagles play Concordia at noon and NYIT at 4 p.m.
