SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team fell to Sacred Heart 5-0 on Saturday night in its home-opener at the SportCenter of Connecticut in Shelton. Freshman goaltender Danaée St-Germain made 50 saves for the Eagles on the night.
Sacred Heart scored three times in the first period to take control of the game early. Post had its most opportunities to score in the third period with six shots on goal. Freshman
Savanna Stevenson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) led the Eagles with three shots in the game.
Post is back at home beginning Friday, Nov. 10 for a two-game series with Saint Anselm. Puck drops at 8:15 p.m. on Friday and 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
