Jordan Hoyda (Edmonton, Alberta) scored her first-career goal in the loss.
Sacred Heart scored twice within the first 1:12 of the game. Post answered at the 5:09 mark of the first period as freshman
Kathleen Takita (Burrilville, R.I.) found Hoyda for goal. It also marked the first-career point for Takita. The Eagles trailed 3-1 after a period.
Sophomore
Molly Brumfield (Columbus, Ohio) scored the Eagles final goal early in the third period off an assist from freshman
Paige Dundas (La Broquerie, Manitoba).
Freshman goaltender
Ashlynn Neurauter (Kamloops, British Columbia) made 40 saves on the night.
The Eagles and the Pioneers return to action tomorrow night in Shelton at 8:15 p.m.
