Joseph Lockwood (London, England) scored a career-high 17 point in the loss.
The Eagles caught fire off the opening tip as Lockwood and freshman
Darrick Boyd (Springfield, Mass.) combined to give Post a 12-0 lead out of the gate. Boyd hit two of his game-high four three-pointers during the opening run. Dominican answered with a 22-4 to grab control of the game.
Boyd nailed a three off a dish from senior
Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Mass.) with 5:30 to go in the first to knot the game 24-24. Post found itself down 41-31 at halftime.
The Eagles were down 61-47 midway through the second half, but an 8-0 run trim the deficit to just six points with 8:33 remaining. Lockwood hit from distance and had five point during the stretch. The Chargers took over from there and led by as many as 22 points before it was all over.
Lockwood was 7-for-8 from the floor and 2-for-2 from distance and grabbed a team-high five rebounds. Boyd finished with 22 points. Post committed 22 turnovers leading to 27 points for the Chargers.
The Eagles return to action at home on Tuesday night against Bloomfield. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
