MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team was defeated by Wesleyan 5-2 on Saturday night a Snyder-Spurrier Rink in Middletown, Conn. Freshman
Ann Margaret DiSciscio (Litchfield, N.H.) scored twice in the loss.
The Eagles fell behind 2-0 in the first after two goals by Gina Mangiafridda. DiScisco scored with 45 seconds left in the period as she put home a rebound off a shot by sophomore
Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, British Columbia).
The Cardinals scored three times to start the second period. DiSciscio added the Eagles second goal late in period off a feed from freshman Savannah Stevenson (Winnipeg, Manitoba).
DiSciscio has now scored four goals and three assists for seven points, the most in the two-year history of the Post women's hockey team.
Sophomore
Jenna Baumgartner (Roseau, Minn.) and freshman Danaée St-Germain (Metcalfe, Ontario) combined to make 46 saves in goal.
The Eagles return to action on Friday, Dec. 1 on the road at New England College in Henniker, N.H. Puck drops at 3:30 p.m.
