BRONX, N.Y. – The Post University men's cross country team won its first meet of the season on Sunday at the York College Invitational at Van Corlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. Graduate student
Ryan Acey (Plainville, Conn.) and sophomore Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, British Columbia) each finished second in their respective races.
Four Eagles finished in the top-20 out of 125 runners. Acey complete the 8K course with a time of 28:50.76. Freshman
Georgios Moukas (Athens, Greece) finished fourth overall with a time of 29:33.44. Freshman
Tyler Hayward (Naugatuck, Conn.) was 16
th, clocking in at 31:13.07 and junior
Onesmus Chamtany (Kapsabet, Kenya) was 18
th at 31:19.56. Freshman
Robert Yuja (Waterbury, Conn.) completed the course in 31:27.76 to finish 20
th.
Fitzgerald was second with a time of 25:52.36. Freshman Jillian Ducham (Waterbury, Conn.) placed 16
th overall, completing the course in 28:29.70. Freshman Paige Dundas (La Broquerie, Manitoba) and junior Akia Callum (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished back-to-back in 23
rd and 24
th with times of 29:47.25 and 29:51.75 respectively.
