PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University women's tennis team was defeated by Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe Jefferson 6-3 on the road Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 5-5 overall and 2-2 in CACC play.
The Eagles dropped all three doubles points to begin the day. Senior
Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) and freshman
Annika Janson (Seeon, Germany); and juniors
Sarah Namazi (Waterbury, Conn.) and
Juliana Seabra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) each dropped their doubles matches 8-5.
Janson grabbed a point for the Eagles at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Marta Yevstakhevych. Junior
Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) defeated Lindsey McDonough 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4. Namazi earned a 6-4, 6-2 win over Eryn Nguyen.
Post is back in action today against Holy Family at 11 a.m.
