NEWARK, Del. – Freshman
Georgios Moukas (Athens, Greece) of the Post University cross country team finished fifth at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship on Sunday at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark, Del. He was the top freshman finisher and was named the conference's Rookie of the Year. The men's team finished 10
th overall.
Moukas finished the 4.97-mile race with a time of 27:36.9. As a top-15 finisher, he also earned All-CACC honors.
Freshman
Onesmus Chamtany (Kapsabet, Kenya) was 33
rd with a time of 29:01.5. Classmate
Tyler Hayward (Naugatuck, Conn.) earned a 47
th place finish, clocking in at 29:46.5.
Next up for the Eagles is the NCAA DII East Regional Championships in Amherst, N.Y. on Saturday, Nov. 4.
