HERSHEY, Pa. – In his debut for the Post men's ice hockey team, freshman
Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.) scored a goal and assisted as the Eagles fell at Lebanon Valley 9-2 on Friday evening. It was the first game action for the Eagles in over a month.
Lebanon Valley scored three power play goals in the first period and led 4-0 at intermission. The Dutchmen added another power play score in the second and opened a 7-0 lead.
Late in the second period, freshman
John Drummond (Littleton, Colo.) put the Eagles on the board with his first goal of the season. Wild cut the deficit to 7-2 with a goal three minutes in to the final period. Freshman
Ryan Wagner (Smithfield, R.I.) tallied his third assist of the year.
The Eagles got into trouble with 24 penalty minutes as the Dutchmen converted on half of their eight extra-man opportunities. Freshman
Tyler Hackett (Branford, Conn.) had a team-high three shots on goal and won 12 face offs.
Post and Lebanon Valley will battle again tomorrow afternoon in Shelton, Conn. Puck drops at 3:15 p.m.
