CALDWELL, N.J. – The Post University men's basketball team was defeated by Caldwell 70-62 in a road Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Monday night. Junior
Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Mass.) matched a season-high with 23 points.
The Eagles struggled from the floor in the first half, shooting just 26.9 percent. Desrosiers open the game with the first of his season-best seven three pointers, but Post went cold from there. Sophomore
Tamas Okros (Bristol, England) scored a layup for the Eagles only basket as the Cougars opened a 21-5 lead.
Caldwell jumped ahead by 20 points until a three by senior
Damani Ashton (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) cut the deficit to 35-18 at halftime.
Post caught fire to open the second as it cut the lead to 41-34 with 12:21 left. Desrosiers, Ashton, and junior
Naasir Williams (Harlem, N.Y.) each hit threes during the Eagles 16-6 run. Post nailed a season-high 13 shots from distance on the night.

Matt Mareno (San Francisco, Calif.) trimmed the Cougars' lead to 44-39 midway through the second half, but the Eagles were unable to climb closer. Post shot 56.2 percent from long range in the second.
Okros added 13 points off the bench for Post. Mareno scored 12 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds.
The Eagles return home next Tuesday against Nyack. Game time at Drubner is set for 7:30 p.m.
