Post Men’s Hockey Blanked By Wentworth

Eagles return to action tomorrow at Keene State

EVERETT, MASS. – The Post University men's ice hockey team began its weekend road trip with a 9-0 loss to the Wentworth Institute of Technology on Friday night. The Eagles return to action tomorrow at Keene State.

Wentworth cashed its first tally at the 14:55 mark of the first period with a power play goal by freshman Adam Tracy. By the end of the first Post was down 3-0 and looking for a bounce back in the second period, but the bounce never came.

"A flat start cost us early and we were never really able to get back into the game," said head coach Pete Whitney

The injury bug made its way down the Post bench in the second and as three Eagles had to leave the game due to injury.

Sophomore goaltender Devin Day (Fontana, Calif.) ended the night with 54 saves. Classmate Peter Petrino (Derby, Conn.) led the Eagles with three shots. Freshman Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.) won a game-high 13 face offs.

Post gets right back to work tomorrow night at 6:10 p.m. on the road at Keene State.
