WATERBURY, Conn.- The Post University volleyball team continued its domination at the Drubner Center this season with a 3-0 victory over Dominican to move to 6-0 at home. The Eagles won each set in convincing fashion 25-13, 25-12, and 25-16. Post's record moves to 4-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and 12-3 on the season.
Senior
Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) lea the Eagles with a double-double, 14 kills and 11 digs. The first set was a quick one as the Eagles jumped out to a very early 7-2 lead and did not blink the rest of the way lapping the Chargers 25-13.
In the second it was more of the same, sophomore
Sarah Seger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) recorded a team high four kills in the set. The Eagles dismantled the Chargers 25-12.
The third set was the closest of the night, Dominican found itself tied in the middle of the match, however Post prevailed to grab the match. The Eagles were able to pull away after an 11-2 run capped by an ace by junior
Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa).
Post returns to the Drub on Wednesday Oct. 5 to take on Concordia at 7 p.m.
