Philadelphia, Pa. - The Post University women's soccer team dropped its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game of the season, losing to Holy Family, 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Eagles are now 3-3 on the season and 3-1 in the CACC.
The Tigers opened up the scoring in the 31
st minute on a goal from Brianna Rock to give them a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Taylor Walker opened scored a goal early on in the 47
th minute to make it a 2-0 game. Shannon Metzler and Ashley Shackleford would score goals in the 66
th and 85
th minute, respectively, to give the Tigers the win.
Sophomore
Cailah Baranowski (Naugatuck, Conn.) was solid in goal, stopping 16 shots on the day, a career-high. The Tigers outshot the Eagles on the day, 32-4.
"We were a little banged up going into today, we will try to get healthy for a big week with two tough games," coach
Matt Micros said.
Up next for the Eagles is a CACC home game against Dominican on September 28 at 3 p.m.
