In the first set Post jumped was in the midst of a battle with the Falcons of Bentley. The score was 11-10 before a pair of aces had pushed the lead to six, 17-11.
The second set was another battle but Post came out victorious yet again 27-25. The Eagles were down by a few early on but battled back to tie the match 7-7. The match was lengthened at the end due to a furious rally by Shannon Kelly and the Bentley Falcons, however it was Root and the Eagles that got the last laugh as she ended the set with a perfectly placed dump off the dig from junior
Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa).
Post won by its largest margin, 25-18, in the third set.
Morgan Griffin kicked it into high gear as the senior led the team with five third-set kills.
Post has now captured it 10th consecutive victory, breaking a program record set in 2004. Next game for the Eagles will be on Saturday, Sept. 24Â against Philadelphia University at 12 p.m.
