OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The Post University men's soccer team fell 2-0 on the road at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are now 2-4 heading into their conference schedule.
The Bears had the bulk of the shots in the first half, outshooting Post 12-2 in the period. Martin Sundell scored the first goal of the game in the 28
th minute. Krishen Patel added the second in the 38
th minute. The Eagles best chance of the first came late as graduate student
Mamadee Kamara (Bronx, N.Y.) headed it at goal, but the shot was saved.
Post gained some steam in the second and held a 6-2 shot advantage in the half, but were unable to convert.
Kamara led the Eagles with three shots and two on goal. Senior goalkeeper
Jon Hanlon (Centereach, N.Y.) made five saves on the day.
The Eagles return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 21 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at Concordia. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
