BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Post University men's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision at No. 8 LIU Post on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles are now 2-3 on the young season.

th minute as Harry Pearse rocketed a free kick from the top of the box off the crossbar and in.
"The boys played incredibly well and I truly believe we could have walked away with the win. After a good first half, we started positively in the second and were just unlucky not to go ahead after have a few quality chances," said head coach
Ted Haley.
In the opening minutes, a header by junior
Kenu Walker (Kingston, Jamaica) was blocked. The Eagles had two more chances in the half but were unable to break through.
The second half started off the same way as Post had three early shots that went wide. The teams continued to trade blows until LIU broke through in the final minutes.
"Our only losses are against elite nationally-ranked teams and the margin has been paper-thin. The key is for us to remain mentally strong and continue to be road warriors," added Haley.

Andre Riello (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and junior
Armando Filho (Cataguases, Brazil) each had two shots. Senior goalkeeper
