BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Post University men's tennis team was defeated by #15 Concordia 8-1 on Thursday. The Eagles become the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team since 2012 to earn a point against the Clippers.
Sophomore
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) picked up the victory for Post with a 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 win over Jui Mao in No. 1 singles. Mao is the top-ranked player in the East Region and #28 nationally.
Senior
Vladyslav Dyenyezhka (Kharkiv, Ukraine) nearly grabbed another point as he took Maxton Cook to three sets in No. 5 singles, 6-2, 3-6, 10-5.
In No. 1 doubles action, Crvelin and sophomore
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) were defeated by Mao and Ofir Ginat 8-5.
Post is back at Edgewood Bath & Tennis tomorrow against Roberts Wesleyan. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
