RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Post University softball team extended its win streak to five games on Wednesday afternoon as the Eagles swept Felician in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader. Post won the first game 7-1 and took game two 6-3.
The Eagles had 20 total hits on the afternoon, including 14 in game two. Seven Post batters had two or more hits, led by sophomore
Emily Schaffer (Hazlet, N.J.) with four. Senior

Marissa Wilson (Holbrook, N.J.) drove her in with a base hit to left. The Eagles left the bases loaded in each of the first two innings.
Felician would tie the game 1-1 in the second with the help of two errors by Post. The Eagles drew three walks in the third, but once again stranded everyone.
Senior

Schaffer and junior

Esque shut the door on the Golden Falcons and did not allow a baserunner after the second inning to pick. She gave up just one hit and struck out four in the game.
Game Two – Post 6, Felician 3
Mia Montoya hit a two out single in centerfield in the first inning as Felician grabbed a 2-0 lead early. Post looked to answer in the second as Schafer, Wilson, and Dawson consecutively singled to open the frame, but all three were stranded.
Schaffer doubled down the right field line to begin a five-run fourth. Dawson legged out an infield hit with one out as the Eagles put runners at the corners. Junior
Marissa Cammarano (Bedford, Mass.) drove in the first run with a base hit up the middle. Post tied the game 2-2 as Dawson came home on a squeeze bunt by classmate Kristin Owens (Exton, Pa.).
Cammarano scored the go-ahead run as junior
