MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team lost its season finale 6-3 to Bentley on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles finish the season with an overall record of 9-12.
Post led 2-1 after doubles as sophomores
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) defeated Brendan McCarthy and Geroge Samander 9-7. Senior
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) and sophomore
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) won 8-6 over Dylan Granat and Chase Rosa.
Crvelin, who moved up to #12 in the most recent ITA East Region rankings, earned a 6-0, 6-4 win over McCarthy for the Eagles only singles point.
The match marked the final in the careers of seniors
Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, Conn.),
Vladyslav Dyenyezhka (Kharkiv, Ukraine), and Fanous. The nine wins by Post this season are the second-most in a single season in school history.
