MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis defeated Bloomfield 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon its final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match of the season.
The Eagles began the afternoon by sweeping all three doubles matches. At No. 1, sophomores
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia)
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) grabbed an 8-4 win. Sophomore
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) and senior
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) defeated Thulani Hove and Villie Heikkilae 8-6. Senior
Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, Conn.) and junior
Ryan Moffat (London, England) won 8-5 over Adam Carter and Nikola Seles.
Crvelin finished his CACC singles season undefeated with a 6-4, 7-6 (6-2) victory over Hove at number one. Munoz defeated Vadim Kustov 7-5, 6-2 in second singles. At No. 3, Henrikson made quick work of Heikkilae 6-2, 6-0. Fanous battled for a three-set win over Wisniewski 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 10-7. Young defeated Cater 6-1, 6-1.
Post returns to Edgewood Bath & Tennis on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. for its season finale against Bentley.
