WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Georgian Court 18-5 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles will play their final home game of the season on Thursday.
Sophomore
Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) scored twice early in the first half to cut the Eagles deficit to 3-2. She added her third goal of the game on a free-position shot with 11:05 left in period but Post led 9-3 at the break.
Junior
Nicole Evans (Cortland, N.Y.) added a goal in the second half. Deren scored her 24
th goal of the season late in game.
Freshman
Rachel Lancaster (Plainville, Conn.) made 17 saves in goal and grabbed a team-high five ground balls. Sophomore
Savannah Schwack (Manorville, N.Y.) picked up two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Post closes out its home schedule on Thursday afternoon against Felician. Opening draw is set for 2:30 p.m.
