MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team earned a 5-4 nonconference victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday afternoon at Edgewood Bath & Tennis. The Eagles took four of six singles matches to pick up the win.
Senior
Jonathyn Young (Norwalk, Conn.) and junior
Ryan Moffat (London, England) earned the Eagles only doubles point with an 8-1 win over Gilberto Lantigua and Chris Jonas at No. 3.
Sophomore
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) battled back from one set down at No. 2 singles to defeated Javier Munoz-Laguna 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to earn the deciding point for Post. Sophomore
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) won his eighth straight singles match 6-2, 6-2 over Aaron Stahl.
Senior
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Lantigua and Moffat took down Jonas 6-0, 6-3 for the Eagles' other singles victories.
Post is back at home against Southern New Hampshire on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
