Men’s Tennis Defeated By #46 Grand Valley State 8-1

Fanous/Henrikson Duo Claims Doubles Match

LAKELAND, Fla.
– The Post University men's tennis team was defeated by #46 Grand Valley State 8-1 on Tuesday morning in Florida.
 
Senior Peter Fanous (Cairo Egypt) and sophomore Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) earned the lone point for the Eagles with a 9-7 victory over Alex van de Steenoven and Andrew Bole in second doubles. Sophomores Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and Marin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) fell in first doubles 8-5.
 
Henrikson nearly won his singles match but was defeated by Bole 6-1, 4-6, 10-5 in a three-set thriller. Fanous stayed close with Jack Heiniger in third singles before falling 6-4, 7-5.
 
The Eagles return to action tomorrow afternoon against Stonehill. First serve at the Lake Cane Tennis Center in Orlando, Fla. is set for 1:30 p.m.
