MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team opened its home schedule off right with a 9-0 non-conference victory over Franklin Piece at Edgewood Bath & Tennis on Thursday afternoon.
Sophomores
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) grabbed an 8-1 victory over Marcus Lawrence and Andrew Schadt in No. 1 doubles. The Eagles won both the second and third doubles matches 8-5.
Senior
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) won his No. 4 singles match 6-2, 6-2. Post earned its fifth point to clinch the victory as Munoz defeated Marcus Lawrence 6-2, 6-1 in second singles.
Post continues its stretch of four matches in four days tomorrow at home against Bentley. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
