CALDWELL, N.J. – The Post University men's tennis team were defeated at Caldwell 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon in its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener. The Eagles are 4-6 on the young season.
Post claimed two out of three doubles matches to start the afternoon. Sophomores
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) took down Max Ziegler and Lucas Bottari 8-4 in the top spot. Senior
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) and sophomore
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) earned an 8-3 win in No. 2 doubles over Andrej Bozovic and Pedro Vizcaino.
Crvelin claimed a three-set victory over Ziegler in No. 1 singles 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. Munoz earned another point for the Eagles with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Bozovic in second singles. Three of the six singles matches came down to a decisive third set.
Post takes a break from conference play and begins its home schedule on Thursday, March 31 against Franklin Pierce. First serve at Edgewood Bath and Tennis is set for 3 p.m.
