Philadelphia, Pa. – The Post University men's basketball team had its three-game winning streak snapped as it dropped a 75-57 game to Holy Family in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore
Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Ma.) led the Eagles with 14 points in his return from injury. Senior
David Seymour (Amityville, N.Y.) finished with 12 points and freshman
Tamas Okros (Bristol, England) scored 10.
The Eagles (12-9, 8-6 CACC) fell behind 15-6 at the 13:17 mark in the first half, but then went on a 16-3 run over the next 9:56 to take a 22-18 lead. During that stretch, sophomore
Joseph Lockwood (London, England) scored six points - including four on free throws – and classmate Isiah Kemp (Astoria, N.Y.) scored five points.
Post would go into the half with a 25-24 lead.
Desrosiers opened up the second half with a jumper before the Tigers went on a 7-0 run to take a 31-27 lead.
A free throw from Seymour and a three-pointer from Desrosiers tied the game up at 31-31.
However, a 25-11 run midway through the second half by Holy Family (19-4, 13-1 CACC) effectively put the game away.
Reggie Charles led the Tigers in scoring with 16 points. Marvin Crawford added 13 points.
Up next for the Eagles is a home game against Bloomfield on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
