Nyack, N.Y. – The Post University men's basketball team knocked off Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe Nyack on the road Saturday afternoon 70-65. The Eagles rise to 3-6 on the year and 2-2 in conference play while Nyack drops to 3-4 and 0-3 in the CACC.  
Four Eagles scored in double figures and leading the way was junior 
Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Mass.) with 19 points. Seniro Malcom Amos (Brookfield, Ill) added 16 points while junior 
Matt Mareno (San Francisco, Calif.) scored 14 points and nine rebounds, one rebound shy of his fourth double-double of the season. Sophomore Adnan Haliovich (Mali Zvornik, Serbia) played a huge role for Post off the bench, scoring 11 points and snagging seven rebounds.
Great defense was the story for the Eagles in the first half of play. Post held Nyack to 32 percent shooting from the field. The Eagles also picked up five first half steals and forced four Warrior turnovers. Desrosiers led the team in scoring after the first dropping nine points, picking up a pair of rebounds and adding an assist as Post led 28-23 after one.
Four minutes into the second half Post skated out to a quick 10-3 run giving itself a 38-26 lead. The Eagles would maintain a lead for the majority of the second half of play.
A Nyack three by Robert Tyler would trim the lead to 57-53 with just over four minutes to go in the ballgame. Mareno scored the next four points to give the Eagles a little breathing room heading down the stretch.  Each team would trade baskets in the final moments of the game but the Eagles held strong.
Post and Nyack both scored 18 points off its opponent's turnovers and 16 second chance points. The Eagles bench scored a season high 30 points outscoring the Warriors' reserves 30-10.
The Eagles will return to CACC action at home on Monday against Caldwell at 7:30 p.m.
