Eagles Volleyball Flies by the Golden Falcons to Clinch North Division

Post captures its 14th straight win, longest streak in program history

RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Post University women's volleyball team defeated Felician 3-0 on the road Saturday afternoon to improve to 24-3 overall and 16-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Eagles have now won 21 consecutive sets and 14 straight matches. Post clichéd the CACC North Division title with the victory.

Leading the way for Post was senior Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) with a match-high 13 kills to go with two blocks and five digs. Senior Morgan Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) finished one kill short of her 11th double-double with nine kills and 12 digs.

Felician made nine errors in the first set handing the Eagles a 25-12 victory. In the second, Post caught fire in the middle notching its second 6-1 run of the afternoon. The run was spearheaded by three German kills. Morgan Griffin put the finishing touches on the set with a point to put it away 25-15.

The third and final set was the closest of the afternoon, Post pulled out to an early 10-point advantage, however the Golden Falcons refused to go down without putting up a fight. Trailing 22-12 in the match,

Felician rallied to score seven consecutive points putting itself in position to potentially take a game from the fourth ranked team in the East Region. Junior Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) ended the match with 25-20 her second ace of the day.

The Eagles visit Caldwell on Tuesday, Nov 8 at 7 p.m.
