SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team was defeated by Franklin Pierce 11-0 at the SportsCenter of Connecticut on Friday afternoon. The Eagles fall to 0-5 on the young season.
Freshman
Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, B.C.) had a team-high four shots on the goal for Post. Senior
Brina Yanez (West Haven, Conn.) and freshman
Molly Brumfield (Columbus, Ohio) each had two shots on the day.
In net for Post, freshmen
Mikaella Doran (Eden Mills, Vt.) and
Jenna Baumgartner (Roseau, Minn.) combined to make 67 saves. Freshman
Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) won nine faceoffs.
Post and Franklin Pierce get together again tomorrow at 1 p.m.
