WESTFIELD, Mass. – The Post University men's ice hockey team fell to Westfield State 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Westfield, Mass. Sophomore goaltender Devin Day (Fontana, Calif.) made a season-high 54 saves.

Westfield scored just 1:36 into the game. The Eagles had a power play opportunity late in the first period, but was unable to take advantage and trailed 1-0 after the first 20 minutes. The Owls scored three times in each of the final two periods.

Post took 19 shots on the night, led by freshman Tyler Hackett (Branford, Conn.) with four attempts. Sophomore Christopher Harris (Barnstable, Mass.) won 10 faceoffs to lead the Eagles.

The squad will continue its trip up north on Wednesday against Assumption in Worcester, Mass. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
