WILMINGTON, Del. – The Post University volleyball team picked up its fifth consecutive win on Saturday at Wilmington. Post is now 7-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and 15-3 overall.
Post was deadlocked with Wilmington nearly halfway through the first set before senior
Heaven Daluz (New Haven, Conn.) riffled a kill between the Wildcat defense giving her team a 12-11 lead. After the kill, the Eagles finished off the set with a 7-1 run capped off by a senior
Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) kill to jump in front 1-0 in the match.
In the second,
Hailey Griffin set the tone with four kills on her way to with her seventh double-double of the season, 11 kills and 15 digs. Post was ahead late in the match 22-16 before it committed a pair of errors that allowed the Wildcats to claw back into the set 23-20. Senior
Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) rose to the occasion, picking up the last two kills for the Eagles giving them a victory 25-21.
The third set was even at 10 a piece before the Eagles took off on a 15-6 run to grab the victory.
The Eagles' next match will be on Tuesday, October 11 back at home against Caldwell. Match beings at 7 p.m.
