WINCHENDON, Mass. – The Post University men's ice hockey team was defeated at Franklin Pierce at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena in Winchendon, Mass. on Sunday night 3-0. The Eagles won a season-high 40 faceoffs on the night.
The game remained scoreless for the first half of the opening period until two penalties by the Eagles gave Franklin Pierce a two-man advantage. The Ravens made the most of the opportunity, scoring twice on the power play and led 2-0 after a period.
Franklin Pierce added its final goal early in the second period as Taylor Fletcher scored into the upper-left corner of the net.
Post managed 13 shots on the day led by freshman
Nick Mancini (Coral Springs, Fla.) with four attempts. Junior
Christopher Harris (Barnstable, Mass.) won a game-high 14 faceoffs. Sophomore goaltender
Devin Day (Fontana, Calif.) made 42 saves.
The Eagles return to the ice on Tuesday night at Westfield State at 7 p.m.
