Philadelphia, Pa. – Sophomore
Cailah Baranowski (Naugatuck, Conn.) recorded seven saves for the Post University women's soccer team, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles lost a 2-0 game to Philadelphia in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Eagles are now 4-7-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the CACC. Philadelphia now stands at 6-6-1 and 5-3-1, respectively.
The Eagles and Rams were deadlocked until the 35
th minute when Dena Noiseux scored on off a centering pass from Brooke Haden to give the Rams a 1-0 lead.
Philadelphia would get its second goal in the 64
th minute on a header from Megan Sullivan off a cross from Amy Heller in the 64
th minute.
The Eagles managed four shots on goal in the game. Two by senior
Sylvia Yanez (West Haven, Conn.) and one each by juniors
Katharina Mertz (Buxtehude, Germany) and
Angela Ciaramella (Hamden, Conn.). Sophomore
Ariana Hoxha (Watertown, Conn.) also made her debut in net, playing the final ten minutes of the game for the Eagles.
