NYACK, N.Y. – The Post University women's volleyball team won its seventh straight match on Friday night with a 3-1 victory at Nyack in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. The Eagles now stand at 17-3 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
Post struggled out of the gate with a 25-18 loss in the first set, but bounced back to take the final three 25-16, 25-19, and 25-14.
Senior
Morgan Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) led all players with 14 kills and 19 digs while her sister
Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) also added a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs. Sophomore
Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) put up 36 assists, 12 digs, and two aces.
Junior
Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) recorded 14 digs on the night and freshman
Shannon Veale (Toms River, N.J.) added six digs and a game-high three aces.
The Eagles return home on Saturday against Georgian Court. Opening serve at the Drubner Center is set for 3:30 p.m.
