SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team fell to Keene State 6-2 at the Sports Center of Connecticut on Saturday night.
Sophomore
Dave Canfarotta (Stratford, Conn.) put the Eagles on the board early in the opening period as he took a pass from junior
Trevor Buchas (Bristol, Conn.) and scored with 3:46 left in the frame. The lead didn't last long as Keene State tied the score less than a minute later and went ahead 2-1 with 2:45 remaining in the period.
Buchas scored midway through the second period to knot the game up at 2-2. Senior
Brian Beatson (Falls Church, Va.) assisted on the goal. The Owls scored on a power-play later in the period to take the lead for good.
Sophomore
Christopher Harris (Barnstable, Mass.) won 12 face-offs on the night to lead Post. The Eagles had 26 shots led by Canfarotta and freshman
Owen Kane (Woodbury, Conn.) with five each.
Post returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 23 against Quinnipiac. Puck drops in Hamden, Conn. at 11 a.m.
