Caldwell, N.J. – The Post University women's soccer team kicked off the official beginning of Fall with a 0-0 (2OT) draw with the Caldwell Cougars on Wednesday afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game.
It was the first tie for the Eagles this season, who are now 3-3-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the CACC. Caldwell is now 2-5-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the CACC.
Caldwell outshot Post 8-2 overall, and 2-1 in shots on goal.
Post goalkeeper, senior
Laura Morgan (Brush Prairie, Wash.) stopped both shots on the day from Caldwell. The Eagles have still not allowed a goal in CACC play.
Coach
Matt Micros was pleased with the result, especially on the first leg of a three game road trip. "Today was a battle that could have gone either way. Caldwell is a good team that I expect to contend for the league. [I] knew it would be tough on the road. Anytime you can get a point on the road against a good team, it's a good result. It keeps us on top of the standings."
Up next for the Eagles is a road game at Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. The game is slated for a noon start.
