WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's volleyball team won its tenth consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Goldey-Beacom at the Drubner Center. The Eagles improve to 8-4 on the year and 2-0 in conference play.
The Eagles controlled play all afternoon and won each set by double-digits. In the first set, Post fell behind 4-3, but answered with a 10-1 run and never trailed the rest of the day. Senior
Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) had seven kills in the first set. Post took its largest lead of set at 12 after a block by junior
Nicole Brown (Queens, N.Y.) and Griffin.
The success continued into the second set as Post reeled off a 15-2 run to begin. Juniors
Kerrin Kallmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.),
Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) and Griffin each had three kills during the run. The Eagles took the set 25-11
Freshman Sara Seger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) had six kills and a block in the third set as Post cruised to a 25-8 victory.
Hailey Griffin led Post with 14 kills and 13 digs. German added 10 kills and two aces. Freshman
Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) put up 36 assists. The Eagles hit .459 as a team on the afternoon with only nine errors on 85 total attacks.
Post will close out its homestand on Tuesday, Sept. 22 against Stonehill at 7 p.m.
