Rockland C.C. ResultsAIC ResultsMIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team improved to 6-8 on the year with wins over Rockland Community College and American International. The Eagles defeated Rockland 8-1 on the road Wednesday and AIC 9-0 at home Thursday.
Against Rockland, the Eagles took five singles matches. Senior
Nicholas Tadros (Montreal, Quebec) defeated Lysander Almonte 6-1, 6-0 in the second spot. Junior
David Narovec (Linz, Austria) won 6-2, 6-0 against James Eigo. Post took all three doubles led by freshman
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) and Tadros in the top spot with an 8-2 victory.
Post won all its singles matches against AIC in straight sets. Munoz defeated James Worrall 6-3, 6-4. Junior Jonythan Young (Norwalk, Conn.) won his second straight match 6-2, 6-0 over Jason Popek.
In doubles, Tadros and junior
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) won 8-6. Narovec and sophomore
Ryan Moffat (London, England) defeated Timothy Zoma and Popek 8-3.
The Eagles return to action at home Saturday against Dowling. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
