Men’s Lacrosse Dominates Second Half In 12-5 Win Over Walsh

DeRosa Stellar With 13 Saves, Four Goals Against



GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Post University men's lacrosse team defeated Walsh 12-5 on Saturday in a neutral-site game at Musselman Stadium in Gettysburg, Pa. Senior goalkeeper Anthony DeRosa (Toms River, N.J.) stopped 13 shots and allowed a career-low four goals.
 
Junior Colby Treat (Penn Yan, N.Y.) got the scoring started for Post with a goal just 1:10 into the game. After a Walsh score, freshman Frank Nichols Jr. (Oceanside, Calif.) beat the keeper after the Eagles' had four straight chances. Sophomore Trevor Buchas (Bristol, Conn.) scored two goals before the end of the quarter as Post jumped in front 4-1.
 
The Cavaliers scored in the final minute of the first quarter. Neither team could find a rhythm in the second quarter, but Walsh finally broke through with 33 seconds remaining to pill within one at the break at 4-3.
 
Post took over after halftime as it outscored Walsh 8-2 the rest of the way. Buchas had two goals and two assists in the second half. Sophomore Luke McDermott (New Milford, Conn.) had two goals. Senior Andrew Supanich (Manassas, Va.) scored his first of the season.
 
Junior Alsharif Blackman (Easton, Pa.) had a goal, three ground balls, and a caused turnover.
 
The Eagles have some time off before their next game on Tuesday, April 21 at home against Southern New Hampshire. Face-off at LaMoy Field is set for 4 p.m.
