Polaski Scores Season-High Six Points In Loss to Georgian Court

Eagles Back In Action Thursday



LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Post University women's lacrosse fell to Georgian Court 18-6 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Thursday afternoon. Senior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) scored a season-high six points in the loss.
 
The Eagles took control out of the gate as they went in front 2-0 behind goals by junior Jordyn Woltmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and Polaski five minutes into the contest. After a score by the Lions, freshman Sam Rodriguez (Wayne, N.J.) found Polaski to put Post ahead 3-1.
 
Georgian Court scored seven goals in a row from there before Polaski ended the run with her third tally of the game to cut the deficit to 8-4.
 
Post started the second half strong with two early goals. Senior Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) scored her first of two in the half one minute into the period. She added another with 5:24 remaining.
 
Polaski led Post with five draw controls and three ground balls. Graduate student Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) made 10 saves and grabbed three ground balls. Baez had two caused turnovers.
 
The Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 2 at home against Southern New Hampshire. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
