Women’s Lacrosse Defeated In Non-Conference Clash With SNHU

Polaski Scores Season High Six Goals



WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's lacrosse team was defeated 21-10 by Southern New Hampshire in a non-conference matchup at LaMoy Field on Thursday. Senior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) scored six goals and dished out an assist.
 
Polaski scored her first to tie the game 1-1 early on. Freshman Sam Rodriguez (Wayne, N.J.) beat the keeper with 24:08 left to cut the deficit to 3-2. Post would stick close early in the game as another goal by Polaski with a man-down made it 4-3.
 
Lindsay Bucknam had four points as the Penman jumped out to an 11-3 advantage. Polaski ended the run with her third score of the afternoon.
 
Post made a late three-goal run with 5:50. Polaski scored twice and Rodriguez added a goal during the stretch.
 
Rodriguez grabbed a season-high 11 ground balls and caused three turnovers. Polaski had five ground balls, three caused turnovers, and seven draw controls. Senior Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) and sophomore Shannon Young (Centereach, N.Y.) each had goals.
 
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 4 as they visit in-state rival Bridgeport. Opening draw is set for noon.
