Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) and sophomore
Alejandro Perez (Bogata, Colombia) improved to 3-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) singles play as the Post men's tennis team defeated Philadelphia 5-4 in its home opener Sunday afternoon.
Munoz won a first-set tiebreaker and took the second set 6-3 over Celso de Vera Rehberger in first singles. Perez also won a tiebreaker and defeated Juan Velosa 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 in the fourth spot. Junior
David Narovec (Linz, Austria) beat Long Vo in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
Munoz and Perez teamed up to win their second-straight conference match 8-3 over Jacobo Atri and Juan Velosa. In third doubles, sophomore
Ryan Moffat (London, England) joined Narovec in an 8-6 victory.
The Eagles improve to 4-7 overall and 2-1 in CACC play heading into a match against #6 Concordia on Tuesday, March 31 at Edgewood Bath and Tennis in Middlebury. First serve is set for 3 p.m.
