BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Post University men's and women's tennis teams were defeated at ASA College on Thursday afternoon. Each team fell 9-0 against the Avengers, the No. 1 ranked Junior College in the nation.
 
In the women's match, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Year Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov, Russia) took one game against Macarena Olivera but was defeated 6-1, 6-0. In doubles, the team of sophomore Jamie Wilkin (Wallkill, N.Y.) and senior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) lost in the second spot 8-1 to Tyler Smith and Sabina Grigorian.
 
Senior Nicholas Tadros (Montreal, Quebec) dropped a tough match to Jack Boling 6-3, 7-6 (7-1). Junior David Narovec (Linz, Austria) put up a great effort against Diego Alcocer, falling 6-3, 6-4. In doubles, Tadros and junior Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) were defeated in the top spot by Callum Poland-Smith and Stephen Watson 8-4.
 
The men's team is back in action on Sunday afternoon at home against Philadelphia. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
