Eagles Defeated By Pace 17-6

Polaski Scores Four Goals In Loss



WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Pace 17-6 at home on Thursday afternoon. Senior Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.) led the Eagles with four goals on the day.
 
Pace took control early and never looked back, starting the game with four unanswered goals. Polaski scored her first of the day with 19:45 left in the first to cut the deficit to 4-1. The Eagles won the ensuing draw and sophomore Shannon Young (Centereach, N.Y.) quickly scored to make it 4-2.
 
The Setters scored five in a row from there capped by a goal by Rachael Casasanta who had five on the day. Polaski and freshman Sam Rodriguez (Wayne, N.Y.) each had goals with under two minutes left in the first as Post trailed 10-4 at the break.
 
Polaski scored the final two goals of the game for the Eagles, one with a man advantage. She also had four ground balls, four caused turnovers, and seven draw controls on the afternoon.
 
Senior Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) led all players with eight of Post's 21 ground balls. The Eagles had 13 draw controls on the afternoon as Pace only managed 11.
 
Post is back in action in its first road game of the season on Saturday at Philadelphia. Game time is set for noon.
