HILLBURN, N.Y. – The Post University men's lacrosse team held off a late fourth-quarter rally by Dominican on Thursday to come away with an 11-10 victory. The Eagles won their second straight game to improve to 3-4 on the year.

Post held a 7-4 lead at the half behind three goals by senior Brian Beatson (Falls Church, Va.) and two by sophomore Trevor Buchas (Bristol, Conn.). The Chargers stormed back to tie the game at 7-7 with 6:37 left in the third quarter.

Senior Matt Edwin (Stamford, Conn.) picked up one of his team-high six ground balls off a Dominican turnover in the final minute of the third and found sophomore Alsharif Blackman (Easton, Pa.) with 12 seconds left to give the Eagles an 8-7 lead through three quarters.

Freshman Frank Nichols Jr. (Oceanside, Calif.) scored all three of his goals in the fourth quarter to put Post ahead 11-8 with 7:33 remaining. The Eagles had chances to extend the lead more, but were unable to beat the keeper. Dominican scored two quick goals to cut the lead to 11-10 with just 3:25 left.
