BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Post University men's basketball team won its third consecutive game on Sunday with a 90-77 victory over NYIT at the LIU Post Thanksgiving Classic. Freshman 
Tamas Okros (Bristol, England) led the Eagles with a season-high 17 points. 
NYIT got off to a quick start as it nailed its first three baskets and jumped in front 7-0 early. Post chipped away at the advantage and sophomore 
Jah'sheme Ringgold (Easton, Md.) gave the Eagles their first lead of the game at 10-9 with 13:29 left in the first. 
Post led by as many as five in the first as junior 
Damani Ashton (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) put the Eagles up by the margin with his only two baskets on the day. Jerrel Green hit a layup as time expired in the half to give the Bears a 34-32 lead at the break. 
The Bears opened a 43-36 advantage in the second half. Post was slowly able to close the gap and took a 52-51 lead on a three-pointer by 
Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Mass.) with 11:34 remaining. NYIT took a one-point lead late, but Post would outscore the Bears 28-14 from there to earn the win. Okros scored nine points down the stretch. 
Along with Okros, two other Eagles finished with double-digits off the bench, Desrosiers with 13 points and Ringgold with 11 as Post outscored the NYIT reserves 56-18. Sophomore 
Matt Mareno (San Francisco, Calif.) added a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards. Junior 
Malcolm Amos (Brookport, Ill.) had 12 points, three steals, and two blocks. 
The Eagles shot 55.8 percent in the second half for 58 points and were 18-for-20 from the free-throw line in the period. 
Post returns to action on Tuesday night in its home opener against Nyack. Tip-off at Drubner is set for 7:30 p.m.
