WATERBURY, Conn – The Post University women's volleyball team took down Philadelphia 3-0 at home on Saturday afternoon to snap the Rams' 12-match win streak. Head coach

th-career victory to become the Eagles' first coach to reach the milestone since Post joined Division II.
The first set was back and forth with neither team holding a lead of more than three early on. With the Rams ahead 19-18, senior
Kristine Ripson (Youngstown, N.Y.) assisted on two blocks and recorded a kill to spark a 7-2 run as the Eagles took the set 25-21. Junior
Morgan Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) aced her serve for the final point.
The Eagles started to run away with the second set and led 17-8. Junior
Nicole Brown (Queens, N.Y.) had three kills and Griffin had two more aces to help build the lead. Philadelphia would not go down quietly as the Rams closed the gap to four points before Griffin won the set 25-20 with a kill.
With the final set tied at 12, senior
Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) smashed home two kills and junior
Skylar German (Kansas City, Mo.) put down two service aces as the Eagles jumped ahead 16-12. Ripson dropped solo blocks for the final two Eagles' points as they won 25-17.
Ripson finished with two solo blocks and three assists to go with nine kills.
Hailey Griffin led Post with 10 kills and 11 digs and had a hitting percentage of .500. The Eagles had nine service aces led by
Morgan Griffin and senior
Janiellee Alvarez (Norwich, Conn.)
Post returns to action at home on Tuesday against Felician. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
