MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team won its first match of the season on Wednesday afternoon 6-3 over Daemen. The Eagles were in action for the first time since the ITA East Regionals last month.
Post took all three doubles points led by the team of sophomores
Nikola Crvelin and
Martin Munoz (Las Palmas, Spain) over Joey Gentile and Andrew LeMar 8-2. In the third spot seniors
Peter Fanous (Cairo, Egypt) and Jonythan Young (Norwalk, Conn.) defeated John LeMar and Gregory Lowe 8-5.
The Eagles clinched the match with victories in the top two singles matches. Crvelin took down David Gonzalez Villegas 6-0, 6-2 in the top spot. Munoz defeated Gentile 6-3, 6-1 in second singles. Junior Ludvig Henrickson also won his singles match 6-4, 6-4 over Andrew LeMar.
